A CELEBRATION OF MOZART AT BOURNE PARK, BRIDGE

To celebrate the 250th anniversary of Mozarts birth, Deal Festival hosts a unique event in the UKs celebratory calendar in the very house that Mozart stayed when he visited England: Bourne Park. The owners have most graciously allowed the festival to host education events and concerts in their exquisite home.

Young people from invited schools can hear Rachel Podger and Gary Cooper, choristers of Canterbury Cathedral and The Mozart Now Ensemble play music composed by the young prodigy, some in the very room that Mozart would have played himself.

This celebrated duo gives a charity concert in aid of Cantoris Charitable Trust, a bursary for the choristers at Canterbury Cathedral. The programme includes Mozarts Sonata K.13, written just prior to his visit as a boy of nine. The audience will, of necessity, be limited to only 40. Tickets (concert with dinner) are strictly by application to the festival administrator.
