THE MIKO BROTHERS

The Miko Brothers are a Czech Romany family, now based in Margate. Their 'Gipsy Jazz' belongs to a rich tradition that reaches back over 70 years. They have performed to enthusiastic audiences all over Kent, and in London.

Lord Gawain Douglas, poet, musician and Walmer resident, presents a selection of his favourite poetry from Shakespeare to his great uncle Lord Alfred Douglas, Auden, and his own work.

Gretel Dowdeswell is already known to Deal audiences as a brilliant and sensitive accompanist to Alice Neary. Now we have a welcome opportunity to hear her as a solo pianist. Her programme includes a work by a Deal composer Harold Truscott, in the tenth anniversary of his death.
